Our editorial priorities
- Practical usefulness: articles should help a traveller make a real decision or plan a real part of a trip.
- Accuracy: important factual claims should be checked against reliable and, where appropriate, official sources.
- Clarity: guides should distinguish between facts, estimates, personal observations and recommendations.
- Independence: commercial relationships do not buy a favourable opinion or guaranteed editorial coverage.
- Freshness: time-sensitive information should be reviewed when changes become known or when an article is substantially updated.
Research and sources
We use direct travel experience where available and supplement it with destination research, official tourism information, transport providers, public authorities, attraction websites, mapping data and other specialist sources. For information that can change quickly, an official source takes priority over an old blog post or social-media claim.
Prices, times and estimates
Travel prices, timetables and journey times are often variable. When we publish an estimate, it is intended to help with planning rather than serve as a guarantee. Readers should confirm critical details before booking or travelling.
Recommendations and reviews
Recommendations are based on usefulness for the reader, destination fit, practical considerations and the information available at the time of writing. A business does not receive a positive recommendation simply because it participates in an affiliate programme or advertises online.
Affiliate relationships and sponsored content
Wonderful Albania may earn commissions from affiliate links and may consider commercial collaborations. Affiliate links do not change the price paid by the reader. If content is sponsored or created as part of a paid commercial arrangement, it should be identified in a way that makes the relationship clear. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
Corrections
If we discover a material error, we aim to correct it rather than leave outdated information in place. Readers and businesses can report possible errors through the Contact Us page. A correction request should include the article URL and enough evidence to verify the issue.
Updates
An article may be updated because a transport route changes, a destination evolves, new practical information becomes available or the structure needs improvement. Updating an article does not mean every external service or price has been checked on the same day; readers should still verify critical booking details directly.
Safety and responsible travel
We try to avoid presenting risky, illegal or environmentally damaging behaviour as a normal travel shortcut. Outdoor, driving and border information is written as general planning guidance and should be combined with current local conditions, official warnings and the traveller’s own judgement.
Images and third-party material
Images and other media are used to illustrate destinations and travel experiences. Where third-party material is used, we aim to respect the relevant licence, attribution and usage conditions. Trademarks and business names remain the property of their respective owners.
